The Truth about Stacking Generic Silver vs Premium Silver Coins!

If you're a silver stacker, should you be stacking generic silver or premium silver? I put some data together and built an Excel spreadsheet to show you the data.

Before we get into this, let's keep in mind that we are talking about stacking generic silver rounds versus premium silver coins. We are not talking about the collectible stuff that I love to show off on this channel.

Before we start getting into the financial reasons of stacking generic versus premium silver rounds, I want to go ahead and talk to you about what the differences are and other reasons people may choose to stack generics vs. premium silver rounds.
A one ounce Silver Morgan round is minted by Hauser Miller, but you don't even know where they came from because there's mints all over the Us and who knows where else that meant these.

On the right hand side we have some premium silver. We'll go ahead and pick these up, and we'll go over the security features on the Silver Eagle and the Silver Britannia. People get into premium silver for peace of mind reasons, because they know it's minted by a Sovereign government and has security features that they can check. But keep in mind that this stuff can be faked as well.

From a financial standpoint, is it really better to go with these links than these? I'm going to show you how it works and give you a link to download it so you can use it yourself and do your own calculations.

Let's say your coin shop has four different types of silver for sale, you know what they're selling for, what the premium is, and what Spot is. Now you just need to determine how much you want to spend.

If we take out $5,000 out of our savings and buy $5,000 worth of silver, we're only going to get 151 ounces of silver eagles. If we buy silver Britannias, we're still only getting about six and a half ounces more silver rounds.

Now that we know the Fiat value, we can also look at the silver value of the silver eagles that we just bought. They are worth about eight hundred dollars less than the silver maples.

If silver goes up to 50 an ounce, you're going to get 50 cents an ounce over spot for silver rounds, 450 over spot for silver eagles, and a dollar over spot for silver maples. After selling it, the silver's value is worth more than nine thousand dollars per ounce, whereas the silver eagles are only worth seven thousand five hundred and fifty five dollars per ounce.

You will get more if you sell your Silver Eagles over Spot, but even if you get that extra premium back because you got more silver by getting the silver rounds, you still get more value because you just have more silver.

If the silver price goes up, you'll get more money back for your silver when you sell your silver rounds than if you sell your silver Eagles at spot value and get no premiums back.

Because you have more silver 184 versus 151 ounces, and you can go crazy and stack 50 000 silver. There is a huge difference between those two, and you can download the spreadsheet down below.
